WSJT is an open-source program designed for weak-signal digital communication by amateur radio. Normal usage requires a standard SSB transceiver and a personal computer with soundcard. Ready-to-run Windows versions of the program is available for free download.

I have used modified versions of this program (WSJT-X & WSJT-Z) to run FT-8 mode for almost a year and have made contacts with over 50 countries. I wouldn't be able to achieve this with modes like CW or SSB.
